In 2000, Mark Terbeek hired Samir Bodas out of Microsoft to come run business development for his startup Jamcracker.
Samir quickly closed the largest deal in the history of the company, a fact he enjoys reminding Mark of to this day! (And often!) Samir then went on to run and exit several successful companies. When he teamed up with his college friend Monish Darda, who Mark had backed previously at BladeLogic, Mark knew it was a team he wanted to back again. In addition, they had created a very differentiated SaaS contract management platform, one of the last few horizontal software layers yet to migrate to the cloud. Samir and Monish have built an excellent team and have extended their product leadership. All the while, they have been extremely capital efficient while growing at an exceptional rate. We led the Series A round and then invested aggressively in the Series B round and again with our Growth fund in the Series C round.
