We met MapAnything’s CEO, John Stewart, in the fall of 2015 via a cold call.
He had built an impressive business with meaningful sales and took no outside capital to get there. It was not long after the first call that we led MapAnything’s Series A in December 2015. The business has grown considerably and went on to raise a Series B and Series C in the years following our initial investment. We are happy to say that we have supported MapAnything in every round and continue to be excited for the company’s future.
As a species, we have relied on maps since the sixth century BC. Knowing that, it was striking to find that the “consumerization” of enterprise software did not coincide with the inclusion of mapping technology in user interfaces, while consumer applications such as Google had integrated them seamlessly to deliver a superb end user experience. MapAnything changed that by integrating maps into CRM, which has grown into one of the largest enterprise software categories in existence.
