Based in the Los Angeles office, Paul complements his time as a Venture Partner with his work as founder of the leading digital media accelerator in Los Angeles Amplify.LA.
As a member of the Greycroft team, Paul currently serves or observes on the boards of Greycroft’s investments in 9Gag, DataScience, Dots, Dropoff, FreeRange Games, The Inventables, Sensay and Splash VR. He also managed the firm’s investments in Klout (sold to Lithium) and Livefyre (sold to Adobe).
Previously, Paul was the founder of The Mailroom Fund (MRF) a venture fund in partnership with Accel Partners, Venrock and AT&T that focused on early stage investments in Southern California-based digital media firms. He founded MRF during his 16 year tenure at the William Morris Agency (WMA) where he served as a member of the Board of Directors in his role as Executive Vice President and head of both the Global Marketing Practice and the Digital Media Group. Prior to WMA, Paul worked at Paul Kagan Associates where he ran the Los Angeles office for the Carmel-based media valuation and consulting firm and was responsible for covering the worldwide film, television, and new media industries.
In addition to sitting on the Board of Councillors for the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California (USC), Paul is an Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Cinema-Television at USC where he has taught a course for the last 23 years on the Impact of Technology on Media. He also sits on the LA Mayor’s Council for Technology and Innovation.
Paul has an MA in Communications Management from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California, and a combined Honors BA in English Literature and International Relations from the University of Western Ontario in Canada, where he was raised.
