Stewart joined Greycroft in 2018 and is based in Los Angeles. He works with Greycroft-backed companies on operational scaling. Stewart is a career operator who has served as a revenue and operations executive at two hypergrowth startups with unicorn exits. He was Chief Operating Officer of TrueCar, helping lead the company from Series A to IPO (lead underwriter Goldman Sachs and rated one of 2014’s 10 Biggest IPOs by Inc.), $250+ million annual revenue, 86% compound annual growth rate, operating cash flow profitability, 4%+ market share of largest U.S. retail vertical, 500+ employees, and Best Places to Work awards. Before that, Stewart was Vice President of Advertising Sales at Yahoo! when the Fortune 500 company doubled annual revenue in four years and where he led a 500+ person, multi-location team that implemented and managed graphical display and paid search campaigns for mid-market and enterprise businesses totaling $2.8 billion in annual revenue. He also held executive operational roles at paid search pioneer Overture Services, which grew from launch to $1.0 billion in annualized revenue in five years and was acquired by Yahoo! for $1.8 billion. Earlier in his career, Stewart was an investor and head of operations at an early-stage venture capital firm. He also served as a U.S. Navy SEAL officer. Stewart holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a BAS in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
